    its a NVR608H-32-XI i checked the adaptor and pins 2 and 3 and 5 all come out the other side how they should do. any other ideas?

    yes db9 connector.i will check later, so maybe the tx and rx are around the wrong way??

    what do you do then, tried on a working NVR and same thing, nothing, baud rate should be 115200

    i got a prolific serial cable with gender adaptor from local electronics shop, as that was all they had, to try and unbrick my nvr but it doesnt work, i tried with another known working nvr and nothing again, using securecrt and it displays nothing at all when i connect cable to it and laptop...

    dont have an NVR but have dahua IP cameras, i have SPSS Lite set up and installed, i can see the cameras on it, how do i set them to record 24/7??

    fixed it, did a network speed test and came to 3Mb/s, restarted main poe switch and it is back to normal again now.
