No audio is heard in web GUI

Could you describe how to turn on the audio in UI3? I only found one setting for audio codec:

No audio is heard in web GUI

Yes, with Windows Remote Desktop, the audio is fine when playing the recorded clip. No audio for live view. Based on what @jrbeddow said, this is a known limitation. However, for UI3 (web interface), the audio does not work at all. As I mentioned earlier, UI3 is not through Windows Remote Desktop.

No audio is heard in web GUI

Yes, I'm using Windows Remote Desktop to access the computer that BI is running on. Maybe that's the cause of no audio in the main BI console live view. But what about the web interface? It should have nothing to do with the remote desktop, right?

No audio is heard in web GUI

Yes, nothing wrong on the camera side. If I replay the recorded video clip from BI's GUI, the audio is good. Similarly, if the video clip is exported to a local hard drive, the audio is good, too. However, no audio can be heard from the live view on BI's GUI. On web GUI, no audio on either the...

No audio is heard in web GUI

I'm having an issue hearing the audio on BI's Web GUI, either in live view or recorded clips. On BI's GUI, the audio is heard in the recorded clip but not on the live view. The "Play live audio" is enabled. I'd appreciate it if anyone could point out what I did wrong. Thanks.

    LaView cameras aren't trying TFTP

Here is the wiring diagram of the crossover cable I made:

    LaView cameras aren't trying TFTP

Update: I got it working. It turned out the culprit was the switch. OP told me that the only thing he did was to use a managed Aruba switch (instead of using an unmanaged switch). I don't have a managed POE switch but improvised a crossover cable with 48V injected to the camera (as it does not...

    LaView cameras aren't trying TFTP

I checked OP's attached pcap and found out the contents are virtually identical to mine: No ARP requests for 192.168.1.128 or 192.0.0.128 at the beginning. The only observed ARP requests are 169.254.xxx.xxx later. I'm attaching mine to this post. I went back to read OP's later posts but not...

    LaView cameras aren't trying TFTP

I tried it (enable promiscuous mode on the nic) but no difference is observed. I don't believe the setup has any issue as the ARP request (DHCP) from the camera was indeed received later. To prove this, I had another Windows PC that hardwired to another port of the same switch with static...

    LaView cameras aren't trying TFTP

I have the same Laview LV-PBK80804C with the exactly same firmware version V5.5.3 build 171121. However, I can't get Scott Lamb script to flash Hikvision firmware. The camera is connected to one of POE ports of an unmanaged POE switch and the PC (running Kali Linux) is connected to the switch's...
