Today I did try to connect the camera to the router with a separate power supply and found out that it can still identify the cam with same error message. “Device is not compatible”
How would ONVIF be any different ? Wouldn't it recognise the device as same way and block the access ?
I guess RTSP would need me to buy a POE switch ? I am not very familiar with RTSP yet but any guidance would be appreciated.

yes you are correct. I can operate the camera with config tool. Is there a way to patch region recognising or something so that this cameras can work on NVR?

I have bought the same camera from China during my recent visit there.
Model : DH-IPC-HDW4631C-A. It is chinese camera and doesn't have any English patch at all. I have connected the camera to my NVR : DHI-NVR2108HS-8P-4KS2 and I have error " Device is not compatible"

Do you think I can downgrade the firmware to 3.210 ? I also want basic viewing and recording access. I use Smart PSS as well for viewing or use the mobile app.
