Disclosure, I work for PoE Texas, and some of these are our products.
We have a combiner/splitter that allows you to combine two PoE ports at the switch, then splits them at the other end.

Then, one can power the camera. The other can use our WT-GAF-12v12w to convert...
I personally haven't used this particular switch (a customer was showing it to me the other day which is why I recalled it), so I wouldn't want to say 100% it will. But I'm 99% certain it will for two reasons: 1) it has a DC barrel port and 2) based on my experience with other RouterBoard...
I'm curious about the fan noise as well. My company sells injectors to a lot of customers who are looking for quieter solutions, so I'd be interested to find out what are some quieter PoE switches.

Fenderman, if I wanted to hide the fact that I work for the company I wouldn’t have posted using my work email.
I do believe in what we offer. Passive injectors and switches have value and a place. 5 star ratings on Amazon and eBay show that we’re as serious about helping people as offering...
I didn’t realize I was hiding the fact. My registration info is all from the company, and my picture matches my LinkedIn page. I believe in the value of the products we sell, and I’m happy to share the expertise we have whether it’s our products or someone else’s.
The difference between passive and active PoE is the auto negotiation. Active devices do a handshake between the Power Supplying Equipment (PSE) and the Powered Device (PD) before it turns on the power. Passive is always on. It’s all about the right tool for the job.
The big benefit of...
