Hi everyone - been looking between Wisenet and Axis.
I basically have a six camera setup - two cameras (#1 and #5 below) have to cover larger distances, the other ones have fairly small distances. For those two cameras, it would be helpful to be able to set up some analytics to block out areas...
So starting to plan for home security and was thinking about an i5 based system. We will have 6-8 cameras, probably 2MP Hikvisions or similar (for better nightvision).
I'd like to rackmount it... so the problem with the standard Optiplex/Dell rec is that they use proprietary motherboards that...
Well. I did when I first saw this review.
After some heavy googling it seems like they may have removed the feature in some of their cams? Not sure why but I would much rather go with Dahua over Hikvision. I was hoping someone here who had a current firmware version of the camera could check.
So does this camera not support MJPEG like the older models?
I need to simulcast to the NVR and to my home automation system - but the HA system only supports MJPEG. So a perfect camera would be sending out 265 and be hosting MJPEG at a static URL.
So comparing to the other available cams:
1. The Z12 has a wider range of zoom available so may be more flexible for placement, right?
2. Is there a turret style coming with similar zooms to the Z5/Z12?
3. What about an LXIR/EXIR version?
