You have to use IE with the plugin to see the IVS toggle button in the live and playback screens in the camera interface. I haven't found the IVS trigger events in the camera log either.
With mine in alert actions (or trigger if you aren't confirming alerts with Deepstack) in the spotter cam, I use a wait command and then a go to previous preset command.
Check the destination IP of the traffic.
192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255,
10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255,
and
172.16.0.0 to 172.32.255.255
are all private IPs not routable over the open Internet.
I use it for server status updates sent to my phone over email to carrier SMS, not for all alerts since I have the BI app on my phone for push notifications and remote access. But it works just fine with BI.
Two questions: how far is the illuminator from the camera and are they at the same angle? If it's not very close to it and aimed in the same spot, you won't get the IR light bouncing off the plate back into the camera lens.
