I agree, I definitely get what I paid for, I just wanted to go with a brand that was compatible with the existing Dahua OEM cameras. I'll look into that as well, thank you.
I hear ya, if I'm able to get through the warranty period just fine, I will definetely be making the upgrade for a bigger hard drive. I got screwed with a warranty repair a while back because I opened up the cover, not trying to deal with their BS again.
Yeah, this was a consumer level NVR, not a DYI kit.
Yes, this is motion only, first thing I did was remove continuous on all channels. Although i still have some more tweaking to do on motion sensitivity.
No? Its already at the max bit rate. Replacing the hard drive would void the warranty. Not trying to have them use that as an excuse should the unit fail.
Hello, I have a 2TB 4K Lorex NVR. I have 6 4K cameras. Currently, I get 26 full days of playback.
I wanted to know if there was any additional settings I could modify to get at least a full month's worth of playback. Ideally I would want 5 weeks of playback or a full month. I originally only...
As the other poster mentioned, just simply enabling Sub stream 2 on the camera's UI fixed the issue. Didn't have to mess with RTSP or any other stream settings. Appreciate both of your advice which was still a lot more helpful than Lorex's own support.
Can confirm, didn't mess with the RTSP settings. Just Enabled Sub Steam 2 checkbox, hit save and the cameras started to pop up on the 16 view one by one after doing so. Thank you so much for this! The clowns over at Lorex still haven't bothered responding to my escalated case I started last week.
Appreciate the linked post and screenshots, the UI looks identical to the Q-see cameras which just has their logo instead of the Dahua logo. I'll take a look at those settings.
Thank you, that's what I thought. I tried changing the substream settings but didn't bother with the RTSP settings. I'll take a look at those settings.
Hello, I'm running into a unique issue and Lorex support was of no help. Told me it was an issue with my monitor and told me I had to buy a 4K monitor.
I bought a 4K Lorex NVR N882A6B-Z to be exact (Dahua rebrand) this was replacing a Q-See 4MP NVR since they went out of business.
I have 4...
