How do you get push notifications setup on this new app? It is totally different then the iDMSS app. On iDMSS app it was in messages tab at top left with a bell and a plus icon on it. This icon does not exist in DMSS. However I did find it by going to the device details of the nvr and then...

Ah so that makes sense. I knew how to get to this but it does nothing in iDMSS. Man Dahua sure makes some crap software! This is app has more bugs then any other app I have used. You have to wonder if they even beta test apps before releasing them. There are other serious bugs in this...

Does anyone know if you can change the zoom amount using SmartPSS with this cam? This cameras has a 2.7mm to 12mm zoom range when doing an installation and I know I could adjust it directly from the NVR interface but not sure if you can do it in SmartPSS 2.0 or at least if you can I have not...

@EMPIRETECANDY (You know me as Jay on skype) you can also add me to the list as all my NVR's and my customers NVR's and Cam's stopped sending out email alerts that I had setup using gmail. Only one is still working and that one is because I am not using gmail's smtp servers but my ISP's email...

Since it is quite evident that no one at Dahua cares to fix this rediculous bug, I just have in up using idmss for push notification alerts with recorded video. It is really useless for this feature. While it may be true that nest, ring, arlo, etc. and all the other DIY/Consumer streaming...

My comment was more referring to the original problem which I posted about starting this thread. To my knowledge it still has not been fixed. That would be a bug not a feature. Although that latest issue could be a feature I am not really sure. If anyone has push notifications working...

Amazing quality control Dahua! You really have to wonder if they actually have any beta testers for there software!

Not surprised at all. I am not even using it anymore for notifications. I gave up. I just use gmail for push notification alerts now. Was not impressed with Dahua at all with regards to this. Once it works I would switch back but not wasting anymore time with it.

I currently have a Synology NAS with an intel processor running the latest DSM. I would like to use my NAS as the openvpn server to access my cameras since it is always on. My local network is 192.168.0.x subnet. Is anyone else using their Synology NAS for this and if so was it easy to setup...

Also interested to know about this as well as I want to switch to VPN from using P2P soon and don’t want to miss out on push notifications.

I noticed a new update for iDMSS for iOS the other day. Looking at the "What's New" I am not really understanding much of what any of this new stuff does or how it works? Anyone with a bit more experience with Dahua and iDMSS can maybe translate this for us that are less experienced? :-)...
