    Site Display Issues?

I had that issue this morning on my laptop chrome browser. A quick refresh and it was OK. My question is what’s with the increase of ads everywhere over the past week or so??!! It seems like the size and frequency of ads on this site has doubled.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

There are additional brightness and shadows adjustments in the advanced display settings if you change 'Color Day Mode' and/or 'Black & White' from Auto to Manual. Maybe playing with that will help....?

POE ONVIF compatible doorbell with WiFi/poe chimes

Read this thread, there's a bunch of talk about a few of us using Reolink doorbells (POE and Wifi) with existing mechanical chimes. In my situation I had two doorbells (front door and side door) and two mechanical chimes (one upstairs one downstairs). Each chime would make a different tone...

High CPU usage running 4 cameras

THIS. You say you're running a version of BI that's over 2 years old. Might be a good time to upgrade. I also seem to recall reading somewhere around here when I was setting up my Reolink DB cams that BI added the Reolink DB support in the config dropdown, hence why yours is a 'Generic...

    Does AI ever 100% recognize?

I was referring to the individual trigger being 100%. I have stood directly in front of my camera, on a nice clear day, with a nice clear picture, and AI is still only ~90% sure. Are you using Deepstack or CPAI? I'm curious, how you have your AI alerts setup - mine sends 3 images 2 seconds...

    Does AI ever 100% recognize?

My 10 year old daughter asked what I thought was an interesting question about our cameras and AI recognition/detection. She asked if our cams [running CPAI 2.5 and looking only for ‘person’ and ‘vehicle’] ever would recognize at 100%? After explaining to her why AI would likely NEVER be 100% I...

High CPU usage running 4 cameras

I don't use sub streams. Haven't had a need to use them so far.

High CPU usage running 4 cameras

For reference, my BI machine is a i7-6700 @ 3.4GHz with 16BGB of RAM and WIN10. I have 2x reolink doorbell cams, 2x 4MP empire tech cams, and 1x 8MP (actually it's a T180 which is 2x 4MP in one). None of them are running sub streams. Continuous recording at 15FPS CPU usage is at 20-25%. I...

Looking for a decent doorbell camera that works with BI

I still need to do some testing and tweaking. We don’t get too many sunny days this time of the year

Looking for a decent doorbell camera that works with BI

I bought a mounting block off eBay for maybe $15 that goes over the siding.

Looking for a decent doorbell camera that works with BI

I had a similar issue but was able to get a better image by adjusting the brightness, contrast, etc. Your adjustment options are very limited.

Looking for a decent doorbell camera that works with BI

Thanks for the reminder. I’ve been meaning to post my update for a week or so now and I keep forgetting. I think I have a solution for your issue with the chime sounding weird but it will take a timing relay that is driven by the output of the 433MHz wireless module. When the button is pressed...

Looking for a decent doorbell camera that works with BI

Do both of your door bells use the same transformer and two separate chimes? I have 2 non-camera door bells that I’d like to switch out to Reolinks but want to use the two existing chimes which make different tones depending of which doorbell button was pressed. My transformer only has 2 wires...

On April 8, 2024, the contiguous United States will witness its last total solar eclipse for the next 20 years

Gosh I hope that’s the case here. This total eclipse sure seems to be getting a lot of publicity but maybe that’s because the last one didn’t come through Ohio. Looking at traffic maps following the 2017 eclipse most states west of the Mississippi were spared of heavy congestion, probably thanks...
