    8MP Starlight+

Some pictures of the camera and various lenses. I already have a micro four thirds camera setup for 4k video work, so I already have a number of lenses. Sensor Shot: With Lumix 20mm Olympus 9-18mm zoom With Lumix 35-100mm zoom

    8MP Starlight+

I have the same issue. If I turn of my lights and fire up either another camera w/IR or my IR illuminators the camera is still pitch black. I don't hear the IR cut filter moving either. It would be a serious limitation if these cameras didn't have IR cut filter to work in areas with limited...

    8MP Starlight+

Yeah, my face is overexposed a bit the closer i get to the camera. I may try manual and set the gain to around 50-75 and change the white balance. I think when it's on auto it boosts the gain to 100. The white balance is very much neutral 4000-5000k white, however the lighting in the video is...

    8MP Starlight+

I turned off all the lights to see how it would work with my external IR illuminator but it doesn't seem to trigger the IR cut filter when I try and change the profile to B&W or switch to auto. I'll have to do more testing, but I'm going to keep this in color mode 24/7. @xyvyx I honestly...

    8MP Starlight+

I'm not sure why the youtube compression is so bad, the videos look far worse on youtube. Also the Dahua was uploaded as 4k@25fps but is somehow showing as 1080p at 60fps.

    8MP Starlight+

Dahua night time test with 20mm f/1.7 pancake lens. The camera makes it look a lot brighter than it really is. For Comparison this is replacing a 5MP Bosch Dinion Starlight 8000 MP with P-Iris Lens. The camera is sitting on top of a ladder so the perspective and angle is a bit different. I...

    8MP Starlight+

Got it. Thanks Andy. Only had a few minutes to test. The lens mount is the same (electronic contacts and all) as the Micro Four-Thirds mount that is on my Panasonic Lumix GH4 mirrorless camera. I slapped on an Panasonic Lumix 20mm f/1.7 II pancake lens and through the webUI you can set the...

    10MP Ultra Lowlight Camera possible

I suspect during the day the aperture will stop down so the depth of field will be very deep and almost everything would be in focus. However, at night with the lens wide open, the depth of field could be pretty shallow and deciding where to focus on would be an issue. It'd be great if the...

    10MP Ultra Lowlight Camera possible

I've ordered one, but have not received it yet from Andy. According to the some of the drawings in the manuals and online it shows the proper contact points for the m43 mount. I'll test that out once I get one in to see if auto focus and aperture control are available in the firmware...

why IPC-HFW8232E-Z slow motion video recording on sd card?

Not necessarily. If you're using a CBR of say 9000kbps then it would record at 9000kbps if it's 60fps or 15fps. VBR would be a different story. I'd test whether or not you're LOSING quality by recording at 60fps rather than 15-20 at the same bitrate. Higher the frame rate, the more compression...

No Auto Tracking for DAHUA DH-SD22204T-GN-W ?

Just because it's a PTZ does not mean it has auto tracking. Dahua's website says Auto Tracking: N/A. Other option is to use triggers/sensors to go to preset locations.

error installing IIS when installing xprotect 2017 r2

Are you running any 3rd party apps to turn off telemetry data back to microsoft? I got the error as I am using O&O shutup10 to disable telemetry reporting and automatic downloads. There must have been something IIS was trying to download or upload to microsoft that was being blocked /...

    10MP Ultra Lowlight Camera possible

I'm not sure what items you are adding together, but the PFL085-J12M for $255 is just a lens. I think Andy was saying a $700 box camera and a $255 or $355 lens = avg $1000.

Any Dahua cams WITHOUT the focus bug?

It's possible that the optics are not IR optimized. IR is a longer wavelength than the visible light spectrum and optics need to be designed with that in mind. Usually there can be backfocus error due to the optics not focusing the IR wavelengths the same manner as the visible spectrum.
