Contact your dealer, reset is easy and can be done with SADP (exporting xml and sending it to support, then you will receive another file for reset). But only if the device comes from official channels, if not they wont move a finger. -

If your old connector failed due to corrosion then if you still have it use multimeter (to check which pin corresponds to which colour). Even corroded one should be easy to connect. In worst case scenario, it may be necessary to open the connector. But still its more safe solution and will work... -

There is no wiring diagram, dont use ones found in Internet from 10 years away, hikvision can use different pcb versions with different colours (in same ipc model without additional information or version mark). Its best to check arrangement with old socket pin by pin (pin to colour). -

Easy to brick, i would just connect in to nvr with your language if you intend to use it and forget about flashing. But if you just want to mess with it you can try flashing via telnet just like in debricking tutorials. -

Tested G0, i hope G1 has better solar. G0 was nice as long as weather was nice and sunny, because when solar is unable to charge it properly your camera is useless. Hikvision should make some changes here and allow connecting external power supply (not only as temporary). -

As for firmware - check exact model you have, on hikvision site there is (D) version, and non-D version, you cant use different than your camera model. As for audio, check if line in is available with different audio codec, if not contact your dealer, the cause is probably stupid and the support... -

Check and tell us exact model you have. DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3 was and is available in many versions, newest is DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3(C0)(S6)(C), and it has built-in mic and line in, not "mic in", so you need some pre amp. Model can be with or without wifi /W. It does not have 12VDC output, some mic... -

Better to use low power locks that draw about 250-300mA, and even better just install additional power cable or 2x lan and use separate circuit/psu for lock. Dc out can also be used to power some card readers like DS-K1107AM, or illumination in the exit button, so not that useless. -
