I'm 99.9% sure I didn't. I instead had a static IP (or more precisely, a DHCP reservation) configured in the router. I try to never use client-side static IPs, because they very quickly become hard to manage. The DB1 has never failed to pick up it's DHCP reserved IP in my experience.
Sorry about that screenshot adding confusion! I think when I took it (at the time I was doing my original install of the DB1) I had previously connected to the device directly from my 10.0.0.x subnet, and was adding it again via the db1's hotspot after a hard reset or after changing the firmware...
I'm afraid I have no insights here, except to agree with you that it's strange. I noticed your "security" is listed as inactive while my was "activated" but I don't know what that means.
The other option available to you is to use the "Add" button at the top menu bar to explicitly add your...
In case it's useful, I took a lot of screenshots during my use of Batch Configuration Tool and included them in my post here. It took me a while to figure out that you need to check the box, not just select the device, before menu options become enabled. It's not intuitive.
If anyone is interested, I made a replacement button for the black face plate, which I hope will stop people pressing the PIR sensor. Here's a before and after pic:

I've written up a detailed report (probably too detailed!) on how I have set up my EZVIZ DB1. I cover how I built a cheap but reliable sensor to detect bell pushes using a Shelly Uni, I provide a detailed analysis of the network traffic generated by the device, I include step-by-step screenshots...
I'm having a problem enabling ONVIF on the Ezviz DB1, and I wonder if anybody has seen this before and knows what I should do. I would like to get ONVIF working so I can get information from the motion sensor into Home Assistant (I can already access the video stream via RTSP). I have already...
In case it's useful to anyone, here's some pictures of how I followed danli's tip and swapped faceplate buttons, and also my experience using different techniques to remove the faceplate logo. Improving the Ezviz DB1 doorbell
