thanks for your help i decided to not go with custom firmware, i got camera's overlooking front of house anyway , this is mainly to answer on phone

I havent yet started using my db1, only took it out of box to test it but i had no issue adding to my NVR. Not sure of the recording functionality yet. There was also a new firmware update.

Thanks was thinking of doing something similar but i found out that this camera is supported by google assistant which can announce when bell is rang. eventually i am looking at using Google Home

Hi All is it possible to somehow connect Wireless Chime to Ezviz DB1? similar to how Ring Doorbell have wireless chimes? maybe using ifttt or other methods? i dont have any old chimes or wiring for wired chime. thanka
