    Same here man. I've long switched to using Blue Iris which is light years ahead of any LaView NVR. But, I'm stuck with LaView cameras and their garbage firmware.

    Did you try the closest match of firmware? Since it's automatically rejected I wonder if you can try a few variations to see which one takes. These cameras are WAY too good to be crippled by LaView's bunk firmware. I really hope someone can figure this out. Would be amazing.

    I hate to zombie this thread...but has anyone figured out how to convert these Laview LV-PZ804N4 cameras to Hikvision? They seem so dumbed down when they have so much more potential.

    Yes! That's actually what I meant to say (did original post from my phone). I just finished installing Windows10 on an SSD and installed a WD Purple for video. I heard BI is free for 15 days for 1 camera which is what I might need to do. I absolutely MUST get rid of this crappy LaView NVR.

    La_view Mobile app Their web site is useless

    LaView is garbage. I totally regret buying my 10 cam setup. The best I can hope for is to flash a hikvision firmware to the cameras and use either Blue Iris or a Hik NVR. And, like you, I noticed the laview mobile app is gone as well...just yesterday.

    Should be. Depending on how updated they are with their software you can login using a regular web browser and view everything that way.

    Didnt know exactly where to post this so I apologize. Since LaView is really just a repackaged version of Hikvision does anything think the cameras can be firmware updated to become Hikvision only? Is this idea even possible? Thanks!

    I think OP wants to know if he can convert his NVR to a Hikvision, from LaView brand. I personally want to convert my LaView cameras to Hikvision. I have a feeling that is possible somehow. But nobody has seemed to try it yet.

    I wanna know this as well. Generally speaking LaView is rebranded Hikvision. It's gotta be compatible IMO.
