    IPC-HDW5231R-Z IP address constantly changing

This just happened to one of my camera from last night. Haven't touched it since putting it up years ago - sounds like I have to take it down to attempt a factory reset, else replace it with a spare on hand. Found this thread by searching 192.168.1.251.

Gave that a try, installing the ~1.79MB webplugin.exe file, relaunching IE. This is the result:

Yeah, using these as the network stream URLs: rtsp://camera_IP:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0 rtsp://camera_IP:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=2&subtype=0 Just not simultaneously of course, but they do show.

I can see both channels in BI and iDMSS on my phone, but the web gui experience via browser plugin across OSX and Windows 10 machines is unlike what @looney2ns posted in his screenshot, despite going through just about every setting, clicking around Live view, etc. I saw page 2 talk about how to...

Of this thread? I looked through and it looked like people had issue with getting channel 2 to show up with their respective NVR. I'm trying to get channel 2 to show up with the NACL chrome plugin.

Finally got mine today. Using the NACL plugin to Chrome, I can only get one of the cameras to show anything. Both channels are detected in settings but I can't see anything in Live on channel 2. Any ideas?

Yeah, I guess I didn't really see any obvious point sources for light in the night video samples- there's what appears to be light emanating from a window in the top right of the frame. Wish I could try one of these out before I buy but I guess the resale market means I won't take much of loss...

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M Dual Starlight Cam

Any thoughts to using this outdoors under a covered overhang? For me in particular, I'd be using this under a covered porch (that has blockage of south/west facing, and exposure toward north/east with a >3 foot overhang). It'd be split between covering the floor of the door entrance and the...

I did see the ipvm calculator and played with it, but probably don’t understand all of the numbers between cameras and perspectives. Also, with the house changed quite a bit, those perspectives seem more difficult to match as well as perspectives not captured (sides and alley).

Hi folks, In the middle of construction of a very extensive remodel (framing is expected to be wrapping up in the next few weeks and the entire house is gutted to the studs). I've been planning out network cabling inside the house, have tacked in a few LV gangs around the house, and am...
