    Camera dropping offline

I believe it was a cat 7 ethernet cable installed a few years ago by a retired installer who is now too old to revisit it.

    Camera dropping offline

Thank you for replying. The only reason that I thought it might be software rather than cabling is that sometimes it will run for hours before dropping off and there is no movement possible in the cable other than temperature (although temperature does not seem to affect the fault )

    Camera dropping offline

One of my cameras keeps dropping off line and sometime later will reboot itself (or not). I have tried reducing the resolution and frame rate but it makes no difference. My setup is 4 x Dahua 8mp IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV cameras connected by Ethernet to a Dahua 8mp 200bps NVR4208-8p-4ks2 . Any help...

    Dahua alarm cameras

My setup is that the cameras are connected by ethernet cables to the nvr and the nvr is connected to the mesh extender by cable which is in turn connected to the isp router

    Dahua alarm cameras

thank for your reply. My problem is that I can not log into the camera direct since my NVR is on a mesh network and hence only has a private network ip address. The mesh network connects to my main isp router. It is not practical to connect the nvr directly to the isp router due to distance.

    Dahua alarm cameras

I have ipc-HDW3849H-AS-PV cameras feeding a Dahua NVR4208-8P-4kS2.. Does anyone know if there is anyway to set up the system to detect motion for the recordings without activating the warning tones and lights.
