So, NVR with PoE, or a NVR and a Switch with PoE? Which is the most reliable? NVR without PoE always require a switch?

I'm getting configuration login error -20. Not sure what it is. SmartPSS shows the camera on but the DVR and switch don't.

Anyone know if there is an upgrade for this camera? Config Tool mentioned that the camera was in "low" and need to be upgraded. I never cease to be amazed. Most of the cameras I've owned are Dahua. This is the first one that didn't work out of the box.

Maybe it just needed a reboot. The ZyXEL switch shuts off when it is in the wrong position. The PTZ is running again, maybe not perfectly but until tomorrow morning and I'll take another look. Zook, your one year anniversary here is coming up; thanks for the help!

Does green laser disable a PTZ camera? It is kind of an odd question but someone was doing that around here and my camera doesn't want to find the network. There may be more than a green laser involved but I'll check that tomorrow.

So, the PTZ camera is working again. Does anyone know how to engage the Starlight mode, what settings to minimize IR light and take advantage of ambient light at night? Any help is appreciated.
