When you connected the camera directly to the router, did you connect a 12v power supply? Since most routers do not have POE ports so the camera will not turn on. I suggest you connect the camera directly to the laptop and assign a static IP, then use SADP and see if it detects it.

Check this Illuminator I've installed recently: Univivi IR Illuminator 6 Leds It has a very good cover angle, and according to product info on Amazon the size is 4.9 x 4 x 4". I did not measure it before installing it but I think those dimensions are correct.

On the NVR (web interface) go to Event -> Smart Event-> Select your camera and under Linkage Method make sure Trigger Channel is enabled for that camera. Also, "Motion | Alarm" will not record intrusion detection, you will have to change to Event.

For some reason the NVR didn't like the H.264H codec from the camera, I changed it to H264 and enabled Smart Codec and automatically the NVR switched to the sub-stream.
