Hi, sorry, reply was in junk mail. Everything works fine @ my end, so I don't come here much often. Did you specify the share on your unraid server as a specific shared folder? I'd make sure that you make something like that with a specific user/pass combi that has limited access right (to ease...
Hi yes I am now able to use FTP on the smart even Line crossing detection. I am not using it for the basic event motion detection, that will probably generate too many false positives. Did you enable snapshot on your camera? If you succeed, let me know if you experience any stability issues. I...
Dear users,
I am running a WR model DS-2CD2032-I V5.3.0 build 150814. I had the camera running for weeks using the e-mail functionality for Line Crossing Detection messages and in addition motion detection. Everything ran fine and 100% stable, no hickups or freezes at all.
However, I noticed...
No problem. Your code is pretty lean, mine is a big bigger but it's also an POC, just grabbed some sample python code from internet and adjusted it:
import time
from watchdog.observers import Observer
from watchdog.events import PatternMatchingEventHandler
class...
That sounds nice, what's the basis of your message system? Telegram?
I'm almost done with the code (in python btw) but am interested in hearing other solutions. Did you enable snapshot already on your camera?
I get the occasional cat in my email, I don't really look so much at the movies that are recorded. I'll probably do that more if I see something suspicious, when someone is crossing the virtual border. I investigated the FTP upload option since I got fed up opening my email client to see the...
I paid around 50 bucks extra to get a white market version, it's a model DS-2CD2032-I and firmware V5.3.0 build 150814. I noticed that if I activated the snapshot option, it actually works (the FTPing) but I had one crash so far.... Now one day stable.
Hopefully a firmware update will make it...
I ran into the same thing just a few hours ago. The annoying this is that it also crashes the hikvision. It was 100% stable before I activated the FTP option...
Sorry, I thought Cookemnster was referring to the supplied I used to get my cams. I obtained my cams from HDsecurity , probably more expensive as compared to other suppliers but at least the firmware can be updated and you get support.
I'd suggest you mail them, they respond quite quick to emails.
Yes, your equivalent sums it up pretty nicely. If I don't touch the replay option, everything will be fine but as soon as I load up old stuff.... I request the stuff from the cam, the cam requests the appropriate files from the NAS, the NAS serves them to the IP-CAM after which the CAM hands...
Dear ip-cammers,
I've tested my DS-2CD2032-I and used the iVMS-4200 software under Windows 10 and the iVMS-4500 under Android. The cam saves the recordings on a SAMBA mount on my Synology NAS.
I tested the setup when the CAM was linked in my local network. I was suprised to find that playback...
