    I had that problem initially as the NVR automatically reboots once a week. The solution was to reboot the NVR not the camera after details of camera are added. This happened by accident as I had added the details multiple times & rebooted camera, one time added details again but never rebooted...

    Used the information on this page as guide to setup a Swann NVR(NVR8-8585) & Dahua camera (IPC-HDW3541TM-AS). All the information is already in the wiki but it took a few hours of fiddling to get it all working. Here is a summary of what worked.... The camera is not plugged directly into NVR...
