    Displaying motion in iDMSS Plus

Anyone? Is the only way to watch through all the material to find the interesting point where the motion happens?

    Displaying motion in iDMSS Plus

Currently I have my Dahua IP camera recording 24/7 to SD card. Is there any way to have the motion events displayed in different color in the timeline so I could easily skip to them, while keeping the 24/7 recording on.

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDW2231RP-ZS Starlight Camera-Varifocal

So the Mac is basically acting as a SMB server, but the camera does not connect to it. How could I try to troubleshoot this? The schedule tab is not so clear, if I mark everything green, does it record all the time? And what's the difference between motion and alarm? Is there any recommended...

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDW2231RP-ZS Starlight Camera-Varifocal

How to configure this camera to continuously record to Mac SMB share? I tried with no luck, no errors but the camera doesn't connect. And additionally: what is the correct way to configure it to record to SD card continously? No motion detection.

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z)

If I don't need the varifocal, does there exist any cheaper model from Dahua? Why are so many people even wanting the varifocal, since it costs a lot extra?

    Switch from NVR to BlueIris?

I think the remote use should work fine , however, if you download large amount of files, that can be slow. But remote watching them should be okay.

    Blue Iris Hardare Requirements

Okay, thanks... would I be fine running 5-6 4MP cameras recording 24/7 without motion detection with i5-3470? What would be a "maximum" amount of cameras for that processor? I know it's hard to say specific, but just a rough estimate would be nice =)

    Blue Iris Hardare Requirements

Thx to both again. :) yeah, sorry for not being specific. I just meant to ask, would it be fine with Ivy Bridge (i5-3470, which seems to support quick sync but not H264 which most Hikvision cameras use??) or would I really benefit from a Haswell one? I may not even be able find a ready-installed...
