    Thanks. I have not made any changes. I will try the reset path and start experimenting with things. UI3 is a good 10000x more efficient in serving video compared to the camera platforms in home assistant. That's why I'm trying to get UI3 working inside home assistants. Works great on a laptop...

    Does BI5 automatically read the reg file? I did install BI5 first but didn't go past the "enter license" screen.

    Yes, i'm seeing that after BI exits, going back in, the import did work. However, i swear i never did an import after i put in my license key after the installation. the reg file was on the desktop but i hadn't imported yet... or maybe i'm getting old and senile.

    Thanks for the quick reply. I really doubt I had it installed on the HTPC and even if I did, it would have been a year ago... somehow the camera list is updated. oh well, given that I cannot import the reg file, i'm glad it somehow got the camera list.

    Hey, so my dedicated BI4 PC died, and as a back up until i get the dedicated one working again, i installed BI4 on my HTPC. After I entered my license key, it opened up and all of my cameras were there without me importing the reg file... does that make sense? Does BI make backups of the reg...

    Actually, u got me thinking... i can control BI triggering using mqtt and http access from home assistant. that simplifies things a lot.

    True... but the alerts go to my wife as well and she has to have a simple way of turning off receiving the alerts (i.e. not going through the BI app to turn things on/off), so i have the alerts from BI go to home assistant which then pushes things to the iphones. She's used to using home...
