Reporting back. The splitter works as advertised.
I got two garage sale cameras from Nellys (Uniview) that are ok but not as good as the other cameras. I may (probably?) don't have the image setting optimized
I only pulled one cable. In hindsight, I suppose pulling 2 might have been better.
The pole is about 250 feet from the house and doesn't have usable power.
I have a single run of cat 6 to the pole and would need a POE switch in addition to the cameras. I'm hoping to avoid that complexity and cost. What do you think of using a 2MP PTZ that pans to one end of the driveway every 10-30 seconds unless it sees motion in the default view?
I'm looking for a POE camera to put on a pole beside a long driveway so I can get pictures in "both" directions of the driveway.
The primary use is alerting to vehicles and animal watching. I'd prefer to stay with Andy's Dahua cameras unless there's a compelling alternative.
I have Blue Iris...
I saw looney2ns statement that the camera should be used under an eave so its not exposed to direct sun. What would be the issues for mounting this camera on a telephone pole next to a driveway where its exposed to the sky/sun?
Thanks for your advice!
Running deepstack in Docker resolved the image upload error after switching to the docker image with the "noavx" tag.
I also had to switch to a lower resolution video stream since Deepstack doesn't support images larger than 2k by 2k.
I'm having the same symptoms where ai tool fails sending images to the deepquest ai server. The only difference is I'm using win 10 home.
