    Thanks Alistair for getting back to me I'm presuming its Mail HikVision who I seem to recall last time were unhelpful as I have no proof of purchase or I have an expensive paper weight ? any other options ?how are pwd's set after a pwd reset - surely there must be a default pwd ??

    Alistair - thank sfor getting back so quickly Yes 100% confident IP address is corect (A. its the default and expected as a result of hard reset and B. I am presented with the login screen for that ip address / cctv camera) The build version (from SADP) Is V5.5.53build 180730 Thanks

    nope - wring to a different PoE outlet on the NVR did nothing to resolve my issue it has to be something really simple !!! - i just need someone with a smarter brain than me !

    @alastairstevenson - thanks but no joy. with all the turning on/off resettign etc I'm loosing track, yesterday for some reason the NVR assigned a 254 subnet (Still couldnt; access gui ) - (fiddlig with settings - i think i reset and assigned a static IP to the Reolink) today its back to...
