Dealing with Overhead Lights and lens flare

I mounted several Dahua SD-49225 cams on poles in cow pastures last year. I have a problem with lens flare on one cam. On the pole on the East side of the property the overhead lamp on the top of the pole does not cause a lens flare. It seems the cam is about 6 inches outside of the light cone...

    Export(Backup) config file on SD49225T-HN - FIXED

Looks like he web plugins need to be installed for the Export/Import feature to work. I added the NACL plugin to Chrome and I can now backup the Dahua cams.

    Export(Backup) config file on SD49225T-HN - FIXED

Has anyone had any luck using the “Setup > System > Import Export" function on these cameras to export the config file? The camera does not have an SD card installed. I do not have the web plugins installed. I have tried from Chrome, Firefox, IE, and Edge. Click the Export button does nothing...

Anyone used the L-Com weatherproof, powered enclosures? Thoughts?

Thank you, rado stefano. I deployed the boxes this week as part of an upgrade and they were great to work with. The pole mounts are solid and the boxes were easy to customize (adding holes for cable glands, adding screw holes on the aluminum mounting plate). We'll see how they do over the next year.

Anyone used the L-Com weatherproof, powered enclosures? Thoughts?

Anyone used these enclosures before - the non-metallic FRP ones? They are for a wind/snow/dust/splatter (yes - ick) environment - a cattle ranch. -Big ones for use inside a cattle barn - POE Switch and surge protectors (one Ubiquity 8-port ToughSwitch, one L-COM CMSP-CAT5-8, one TrippLite...

Looking for a source for Dahua DH-PFB305W or like mounting bracket

Thanks, CrazyKiller. I did just look at the data sheet, and sure enough, the PFB305W bracket is in there as "included". My last SD49225 did not come with the PFB305W mounting bracket. I bought it separately from a different seller. I paired it with the PFA120 junction box, also bought...

Looking for a source for Dahua DH-PFB305W or like mounting bracket

My client wants another of the Starlight 49225T models mounted on a wooden pole in a pasture. I found the PFA120 junction box again on NewEgg, but I can't find the currently listed compatible bracket. The one I got last March is from HDCamClub in Amazon MarketPlace. Does anyone have another...

Need IP/dome/PTZ with heater for a cattle ranch in Northern Colorado

I don't think the money is an issue, just the expectation of what needs to be spent. I am working on that. Since you're close by, could I hire you for an hour for some simple and specific advice? Please PM me with a response.

A standard, and I use that term loosely, and a standards body for exchanging healthcare data between systems.

    Dabbling and mingling

I got into IP cams to help a friend and soon he left it all in my hands. I have one client I do this for. Maybe I'll have more in the future, but not trying right now. The HL7 & coding work I do for $$ keeps me busy. I know a little bit about a lot. I've been doing IT for 27 years, mostly in...
