Depends how you define better. I've got a bunch of SD1A203T-GN in use and replaced one with a SD1A404XB-GNR. Sure, it's higher resolution, but it wasn't a dramatic difference. I'm not in any rush to upgrade my others, but if I was buying one today I'd probably just go with the SD1A404XB-GNR...

Yup, and presumably if it's security related, they want to keep quiet about the details so as to not encourage people to take advantage of it....that's my thinking at least.

As far as I know there's no changelog available, I just find it suspicious they felt the need to release a build one day newer than the previous one....the assumption being they found something serious enough to warrant another release so quickly after. Dahua seems spotty with firmware...

I noticed my IVS events from my IPC-HDW5831R-ZE finally show up correctly in the search function on this version. So maybe 4.001 is what 4.0 should have been in the first place, seems like they're finally knocking out some of the major showstoppers.
