Recs for a 1u rackmount 16 or 32 channel Blue Iris box?

It's a mix ranging from 1080P to 3MP - legacy system being upgraded. Upgrading all to 3MP soon so will see how that impacts it

Recs for a 1u rackmount 16 or 32 channel Blue Iris box?

BTW with console logged out and I hit it from an IOS client CPU is at 14% !

Recs for a 1u rackmount 16 or 32 channel Blue Iris box?

Memory thus far has not broken 1.5GB Not sure if 8GB would have worked ok, but I suspect it would. Temp is so low I haven't even bothered to check it - those little boxes run cool and quiet. I'll shine a laser thermometer on it next time and let you know the temp. IMHO BI is hard to beat...

Recs for a 1u rackmount 16 or 32 channel Blue Iris box?

I ended up finding a great solution. I got a Lenovo ThinkCentre M700 Tiny with Intel i7-6700T, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD + 2TB HDD It screams, is smaller than most hardback books, quiet, easily sits on a rack shelf and is blazing fast with 25 cameras never breaking 30% cpu even with the console...

    Axis P7216 and Blue Iris?

So am happy to say that I was easily able to setup the P7216 feeds in Blue Iris using the RTSP format shown in the earlier post. Just hit + to add a camera, name it, and in configuration select RTSP and enter that URL with the correct IP and camera number, then click find and OK and it come...

    Axis P7216 and Blue Iris?

I actually found the answer today. I ran the axis IP utility and it let me set up the 2 additional IP addresses and their feeds came right up. Moral of story is that to set up an Axis 7216 you have to download the Axis IP configuration tool. It finds the hardware instantly and setup is very...

Recs for a 1u rackmount 16 or 32 channel Blue Iris box?

I've already set up such systems successfully, looking for better options since newer HW is available since I last built one. Thanks for your input. If nobody here has responds, that's fine.

Recs for a 1u rackmount 16 or 32 channel Blue Iris box?

That I already know. Again, looking for recs from people with actual systems running, please keep to that and that only, thanks.

Recs for a 1u rackmount 16 or 32 channel Blue Iris box?

It can be varied - it will be Amcrest 3MP models but not necessary to use full frame rate. I typically run 10-15 fps

Recs for a 1u rackmount 16 or 32 channel Blue Iris box?

I get it - don't wanna get bogged down on this aspect - it's a DC environment so noise not really a concern.

Recs for a 1u rackmount 16 or 32 channel Blue Iris box?

It actually could be more than 1U, but smaller rack footprint generally is better.

Recs for a 1u rackmount 16 or 32 channel Blue Iris box?

I am looking for recommendations for a 1U rackmount PC that has made a good 16 or 32 channel BI server. Would like load with all 16 or 32 cameras running and console logged in to be under 40% max. Prefer recs from people who have actually built and tested the specific server and how exactly...

    Axis P7216 and Blue Iris?

Blue Iris can easily take the RTSP feeds. When you are setting up a new camera, you can select an RTSP feed in the address box to the left of the space where the URL goes. Then put the URL in the box. Then, select Axis as the camera type and add the user/password and click find/inspect and it...

    Axis P7216 and Blue Iris?

Anyone have experience setting up camera feeds from an Axis P7216 encoder into Blue Iris? I'm thoroughly familiar with Blue Iris, but the Axis encoder is new to me and a bit mysterious. Thanks.
