No change when I did that, but that's OK. I'll figure it out. (Note: I turned off the hardware acceleration, and the green/purple line went away. I wasn't seeing any noticeable CPU improvement with it turned on anyway.)

I did, but I'm still getting the green/purple line across the bottom of playbacks. It's no huge deal, but I'd rather not have it. Has anyone else had this happen?

    CPU Question

Yes, it's running as a service. I'm actually exiting the program but it still records and the apps still work, while decreasing the CPUs. In spite of updating my Intel HD drivers and enabling hardware acceleration, my CPU actually increased...

Ok, everything works! I did the driver update and hardware acceleration and everything connects. On playback, however, I am now getting a green and purple line across the entire bottom of the screen. Wonder what that is?

No, Windows 10 and running as a service.

    CPU Question

When you are measuring CPU, are you doing it with the BI console on or off? On my i7 6700T 6th Generation processor, I'm getting 20-30% CPU with the console on, and 9-17% with it off. To my surprise, it still records motion detection, and sends to the BI app even when the console is off.

My PC has Intel HD graphics and an i7 6700T 6th Generation Skylake processor. When I try to do the hardware acceleration, I lose camera connection totally. Any tips on what I'm doing wrong?

I just got it two weeks ago from Dell, so I guess it"s a clean install. The cameras are all Amcrest 1080p.

    Blue Iris Hardare Requirements

It's a Windows 10. I tried rebooting and everything I could think of, but to no avail. The only way i could make it connect again was to uninstall/reinstall. I'd like to do the acceleration, but so far it won't let me. Computers are funny that way, though. When I first installed BI it...

    Blue Iris Hardare Requirements

I'm running the licensed version of BI4. I haven't set any frame rates yet, but they seem to be arbitrarily set to random frame rates. My cameras are currently not connecting now after the hardware acceleration option. I'm trying to figure it out. Changing back to unchecking hardware...

I did check the direct-to-disk boxes. Is there anything else I should do? I wasn't aware of hardware acceleration.
