"Use the Object size exceeds setting to reset the motion detector when very large objects are detected. This will help to prevent false positive triggering in the event of scene or major lighting changes."
But it will only reset the motion detector if the scene or major lighting change happens...
Thanks for the reply. I think I finally found out what was going on. If you notice the screenshot under 3), the car is highlighted in RED, but the image doesn't have the red border around it, meaning it didn't actually trigger. It seems the OBJECT was detected, and met all criteria, but it...
Version 4.8.6.3
1) I have my make time set to 6 seconds:
2) Object Detection is ticked, with no options ticked off inside:
3) When a car comes into frame from the RIGHT, the camera is triggered immediately. (It should wait 6 seconds)
4) If I UNTICK the box Object Detection box, then...
Recently upgraded from Beta 4 to Beta 8, and now when viewing any Alert, I get "Fail response when getting clip stats from server. This alert may have inaccurate duration"
Hmmm OK. Is this something that can be added? I put my cameras in a strip down the side of my desktop. UI2 works so well because I can remove the interface and see only the cameras, whereas UI3 doesn't work so well as you can see.

So far so good! However, in the previous version, I could press ~ to see only the cameras in a window. Now, it seems in order to only see the cameras you need to be in full screen. Is there no way to view just the cameras in a window?

TBO, I have given up on live alerts because of all...
Ok. Are you sure the cars shadow isn't casting anything in Zone A when it drives by? Or when it drives by does it cause leaves to start blowing or something? If you don't have a zone on the street, then it won't be included in the motion rules.
One other thing, I don't have much luck with...
Post screen shots of your settings again. I'm online for another 20 minutes and can try and help.
My suggestion is to removed ALL zones except zone A. Make that your front lawn, and drive way. Then, your trigger settings should look like this:
To answer your original question about the black masked area when viewing a recording, try right clicking on the recording, and uncheck "Test run video through motion detector"
It's working now. I went into the servers section as you said, and my server was already there. I created a new one and switched to it. The H.264 started working. I then deleted that server, and went back to the one that was already there, and it works now also. So.. not sure what happened there.
