Looking for better nighttime performance between those 5 cameras

@John Williamson, thank you for your time to get into those details. What you said was very helpful but i checked the DS-2CD2346G2-I and it is too expensive for my needs. Basically I need a camera for my walkway to record movement coming and leaving from the house. It is not for a commercial...

Looking for better nighttime performance between those 5 cameras

No. I just have read about them. I don't care about having color images at night time, b&w is ok too as long as they are of good quality.. ColorVu is too expensive for my budget at the moment.

Looking for better nighttime performance between those 5 cameras

The specs don't say much because at night LUX is always 0 because the IR is on... The sensors are pretty much identical (1/2.4" - 1/3"). That is why I am asking for advice from anyone who might have one of those cameras and can give true feedback..

Looking for better nighttime performance between those 5 cameras

Hello all. One simple question since I have never used Acusense or Darkfighter cameras in the past, just normal ones which work excellent. Which of those 5 will give best results for nighttime video? I believe daytime will be fine an all of them... DS-2CD2345FWD-I (4MP, Darkfighter)...

    Flush Mount Monitor Install

Sorry to dig up an old thread, any idea where to get a monitor like that from some store in Europe? Because buying it from the US and shipping it to Europe is twice the cost... Thanks!

    Hikvision 7600 NVR Touchscreen

That is what most probably will do.. either the wireless mouse or a tablet running an app to watch the feeds from the NVR... I was just looking for a more "permanent" solution of some small touchscreen (7-8'') and mount that on a wall or something, but anyway....

Hikvision NVR 76xx - Is it possible to connect touch screen monitor ?

Sorry to dig up the thread, anyone can give us a detailed description of the display they are using the NVR so we can try the same? I want to connect a touchscreen to my DS-7608NI-I2 but I can't buy 10 of them and try them out because they are expensive.. I would like a solution that already...

    DS-2CD2955FWD-IS Anyone?

Hello, I tried searching the forum but didn't hit any results... Anyone installed this new 5MP fisheye camera? I was wondering what are the differences in real life usage between DS-2CD2955FWD-IS and the DS-2CD2942F-IWS. Here is the product page: DS-2CD2955FWD-IS-Hangzhou Hikvision Digital...

Ghosty video of moving objects and timestamp

Yes but i triple checked them.. A cable tester, network usage and speed tests. I don't believe the problem is with the physical connection of the cables. I will review various videos for the next days and see if this happens again. What exactly is the I frame interval? That was the default value...

Ghosty video of moving objects and timestamp

I tried the H264+ to OFF and I don't see it anymore but this was not happening all the times.. It was in SOME videos, not all.. So I will wait a few days before saying that this was the problem. The settings are attached.

Ghosty video of moving objects and timestamp

So you suggest I switch H.264+ to OFF?

Ghosty video of moving objects and timestamp

It is a DS-2CD2335FWD-I on a DS-7608NI-I2 NVR. H264 with H.264+ ON. On the TV or through the web interface the picture is crystal clear. I use the Main stream (2048*1536) and it is perfect but eventhough I use the Main stream for the recording as well, it looks like this..
