    Firmware for Dahua IPC-HDW4433C-A

No, I don't think this will work because this camera is not an International camera but a Chinese one. The firmware you linked is for the International series.

    Dahua IPC-HDW5442TM-AS VBR looks terrible

Today I installed a HDW5442TM-ASE with the same problem as the TS. I ended up in a constant bit rate of 6144Kbps and an I-frame of 25 with a FPS of 25. (encode mode H.264H) The picture is clear now, but with VBR it's going from a high bit rate to a very low bit rate which makes the picture awful.

You can upgrade with the original Chinese firmware but everything will be in Chinese after upgrade. So, you're choice. Ps, use the correct firmware for your camera

Exactly, If is gets better, it's worth it. But if things get worse or end up in some boot loop, you have a bad day. Some of the members here often say, don't try to fix something if it ain't broken.

Thank you. I had seen it before that some had a better result after calibration. I can try it. :) Still strange that other models doesn't have to be calibrated. IVS is working, just have to setup the tripwire close to the camera.

    Review-OEM IPC-T5241H-AS-PV 2mp AI active deterrence cam

Yeah, release notes are hard to find for the Dahua updates. Well, the camera is fine. The only thing is that IVS triggers, like a tripwire, is only working when the object is very close to the camera. None of my other Dahua's have this problem. So maybe, on a rainy day, I will upgrade the cam. ;)

    Firmware for Dahua IPC-HDW4433C-A

I just use the original Chinese firmware to update this camera. The DST feature is working ok. To adjust the settings I use smartPSS. Everything is in Chinese after upgrade. You could also use the translate feature (extension) of Chrome. https://www.dahuatech.com/download/2501.html
