AMD cpus recommended for Blue Iris machine

Any tips for passing through the graphics hardware? I'm using Virtualisation Station on a QNAP. EDIT: I think I've found a resource! https://www.qnap.com/en/how-to/tutorial/article/how-to-set-up-and-use-gpu-pass-through-in-virtualization-station-3

AMD cpus recommended for Blue Iris machine

You weren't kidding about substreams. Curiosity got the better of me and I hooked up a couple of cams and installed Blue Iris on my main workstation (16 core Threadripper). Just to have a play before I setup a Windows VM on my NAS. A couple of 8mp cameras initially had the cpu usage at 14%...

Hello all... Wondering if anyone has tried this. The specs of the cpu ( Intel® Core™ i7-4980HQ Processor (6M Cache, up to 4.00 GHz) Product Specifications ) seem to stack up very favourably compared to one of the recommended cpus ( Intel Core i5-6500 ). It has Quicksync and of course...

The Perfect BI setup needs SSD ?

First post here... just preparing to get set up with my first ipcam system. I'm also preparing to set things up to be independent from the power grid with solar, so energy efficiency has become a real focus. For a machine that is on 24/7, year in year out, an SSD presents some advantages beyond...
