Has anyone had any luck with being able to trigger the strobe light and alarm via app?
I have a a bunch of 2386G2 cameras and an I series NVR (though firmware is old.. 2021) but all products were bought from an authorised dealer in Sydney.
I believe my set up is eligible to support the Live...
^ I also bought my setup from JK security - everything is all legit and running as intended. Wish I bought more ColorVu's rather than the 2386 Accusense. Figured I'd use the two way audio more but haven't used it once.
Was just on the phone with a local security company, and they said that the 2-way audio feature of this camera requires an additional wire to enable it. Is this correct? I thought that all features would run through the single Cat5/6 cable — and that the microphone and speaker were all built in...
That's great to hear. I plan to run a compatible NVR but have only really watched Hikvision NVR/Accusense tutorials. I better start watching some Dahua tutorials :)
These look great. Too bad my location is fairly dark, otherwise I would've opted for these. An additional flood light isn't feasible where I live.
How do you find the security features? Like the vehicle and human detection? Are they similar to Hik?

Excuse the amateur-hour drawing. But here's our floor plan. As you can see we have an allowance for 4x cameras and these are where we'll be placing them. We didn't opt for a 5th camera on the left-hand side due to the house being in close proximity to the fence and...
Thanks for your response.

Good to know. I'm going backwards and forwards about getting the 4MP ColorVu, 4MP/8MP 2386 or the Dahua 5442.
So far the 2386 has all the features my wife likes, but it sacrifices a bit of low-light quality. Whereas both the ColorVu and 5442 have excellent quality at 4MP — but don't have the...
At around the 13min mark, there appears to be a bit of ghosting without any help of external lights. I guess this is what I'd be expecting with minimum/little ambient light.
I also wouldn't want to install a flood light due to the neighbours being exposed to it.
Image-wise, how would these fair in low-ish light conditions? Say a street lamp that's about 15-20m in front of the camera, as well as surrounding lights from neighbours etc. This model is 5mp with a 1/2.7” sensor.
Thanks for reply. The only thing about this model is the blue/red lights! Sorry, I know I’m being picky.
I believe there’s a 5mp 5541? That has a normal light, but I think the image quality isn’t as great.
