My speed dome is having problems...have had it for 4 mos. The IR lights do not work and the wiper does not move. When manually turning on the IR lights, I hear a click but the lights don't go on. Trying to resolve the problems through Huisun...so far to no avail.

I did. My main focus was to cover the back yard with the pool area, patio doors and woods. The camera is on the south side of the house. Most of the brutal weather here (upstate NY) comes from the north/west and I wanted to provide as much protection of the cam as possible from the winter...

Jats - get a hold of Coco Cao @ Huisun via Alibaba. She can hook you up. I installed mine in July - no problems. I did buy a 12vdc ps ($16.00) to power it. Ended up running 2-wire 14ga landscaping wire to the camera after adjusting the voltage at the ps supply to 13.2v. and the camera...

Just received my DM-RDC227IPT-KS20IC-W1 from Huisun and just finished bench testing it...nice cam. Trying to figure out how I'm going to wire it to where I'm going to mount it. I'll have a 40' run and have bought a 24vdc ps (adjustable) to compensate for the voltage loss. The camera is rated...

I just leave unraid on...the hdrives spin down until needed. Never tried wake on demand...don't know about that. FREENAS' claim to fame is the zfs file system. You create multiple drive pools of the same drive size. That was the big turnoff for me. I've never had any problem with my drives.

That's where I was at 5 yrs. ago. Unraid runs off a USB stick. You can try it with 6 drives (I think) for 30 days to get a feel of how it works. I've tried them all but eventually settled on unraid. There is also a huge following on their forums. https://lime-technology.com/

Del Boy, I've built my own using unraid. I try to stay away from the retail brands...way overpriced for what you get imho. The nice thing about unraid is you can use drives of different sizes. One drive is a parity drive (and must be at least as big as the largest drive you're using). Also...
