    I need a couple of these cameras and a suitable 2 hdd NVR the image quality i see here is just so much better then what the 8mp HDW 3841T Zas 2.8 sensor models i have are able to provide.

    with 2 over view cameras the problem is they have to be located too high for decent audio pickup. maybe the TIOC is better just because i can place the microphone lower to the ground. Otherwise the dahua audio pickup on the cameras i have is very decent.

    Your right the thing the TIOC has going for its self is that it has the ability to deter and for me the ability to add a external microphone. that is why im still considering one. The 5442 would however provide a much clearer image at night at that position. This is something i struggle with...

    Im glad that i found this forum and found out before buying these 3849 tiocs from what i have seen the image at night didnt really seem much more superior to my current IPC-HDW3841T-ZS-S2 now i know its about the same sensor size i understand why. the 5442 looks to be a much more solid choice...
