    Check Your Web Server Security!

My error was in searching for "limit access by IP address".

    Check Your Web Server Security!

Honestly, after reading Winn Schwartau, Kevin Mitnick, and Edward Snowden's books, I don't take that one for granted. If they want in, they will get in. No point in making it easy though.

    Check Your Web Server Security!

Okay, thanks for setting me straight on this. Paranoia is how we keep things safe I suppose. LOL

What? They are minuses! I could not find documentation about these addresses being there. Cripes.

    Check Your Web Server Security!

I have blocked all outbound WAN connections from all IP cameras and tightened firewall settings, as well as added authentication for LAN services.

    Check Your Web Server Security!

Quite possibly, but I am not convinced it wasn't a backdoor exploit from a camera.

    Check Your Web Server Security!

After some recent odd happenings on my network with IP addressing, I was forced to re-evaluate my authorized connections and DHCP reservations. In so doing, under the BI WebServer Advanced tab, I noted 3 IP addresses added to the 'Limit access by IP address' listing that I did not put there. To...

Blue Iris and Google home hub

Nevertheless, it does appear to work, but I can't think of any easy way to automate it. I set up a stream using OBS Studio and it is working to bounce it back to my hub, but it's really not practical.

Blue Iris and Google home hub

Already done. I don't see this as a BI platform issue by any means. Hoping for work-arounds . .

Blue Iris and Google home hub

I hate relying on IFTTT for anything. Really hoping an answer or solution is out there to make use of cameras I already own. It seems silly that I would have to duplicate a camera or display to make this work without having to ping pong it through a webhook.

Networking Problem: Mixed DHCP servers for Ethernet and Wifi

Yep, this is ultimately what I will end up with. Thanks for the rundown. I actually tried to do this today until I screwed something up and had to reset the ISP modem. I did not realize it until today, but it has been over 2 years since I last set it up, and going back to factory defaults seems...

Networking Problem: Mixed DHCP servers for Ethernet and Wifi

Like Mikeynags said, I think I am just going to throw a real router in between my wifi router and the gateway, making it the soul DHCP server for both segments of the network. It is just going to be a pain in the ass otherwise. No hassles either if my gateway or ISP change after that.

Networking Problem: Mixed DHCP servers for Ethernet and Wifi

I will preface this by saying that I can accept if I just need to find a better way to set things up, but I am not having any success getting my wifi cameras to feed into BI from a physical subnet. I have my primary ISP provided gateway setup with DHCP for everything wired directly to it with...

    I broke BI

Sorry, I don't mean to confuse with that phrase, but I mean all of my streams are making use of it.
