    Yup, no reason to do so atm, I am thinking of only doing it when my warranty runs out so I can support the camera myself with hikvision firmware. Also one thing to point out is that Ive gotten my Annke NPAW NVR added to the hikconnect app on ios so on the website YMMV.

    Exactly, as of right now I see no point in upgrading to hikvision. Maybe after the warranty runs out I can see myself upgrading to hikvision so it has the latest version with patches

    got it thank you, so the reason I’m asking all of this is that ANNKE has a 2 year warranty and I am building a system for my friend and I’m not gonna upgrade the ANNKE firmware to hikvision since it’s gonna void warranty. So I’m just gonna use the ANNKE cams with the hikvision NVR.

    On the Smart Mode does it only light up when it detects motion? I tinkered with mine and I can permanantly turn on the light, but on smart mode the light does not turn on at Night time
