probably a dumb question, but Ill ask it anyway. I already have NordVPN for my phone and home pc. Should setup NordVPN on my ASUS openvpn, or just do the plain Asus OpenVPN using the VPN server option.

I agree with this thought. I'm clueless when it comes to protecting a network.

Well that sucks. My router (Eero) does not have VPN support built in. I think I need to buy another router just for VPN and connect my Eero network to that.

I have a Dahua PoE NVR and Dahua cameras all connected. I have my Dahua NVR plugged in to my router. I can not for the life of me figure out how to get it on the internet and how to be able to view it from my PC (on the same network) or on my Android device with gdmss. I've read through the wiki...

So I think I've just decided to get a black outdoor cable and put it in a white small cable race. Kind of strange no one manufactures white outdoor cable.

It is just for a single wire. The smallest conduit I could find was 1/2" which is still somewhat bulky compared to a single cat6. I was hoping to not have to spend time painting a wire, and paint doesn't stick well. I guess I can just run the cat6 I have and change it out every few years, but...

Anyone know where I can buy white cat6 outdoor rated bulk cable? All I am seeing is black outdoor, or white indoor. I need white outdoor so it doesn't stand out so much. I need about 125ft of which 50ft or so will be outside the house. Need it to blend in. Thanks.

Ok, so I should be fine just plugging my cameras to the PoE NVR and then plugging the NVR to my network?

Is there enough room inside the junction box to hide the connection? I'm going with a Dahua setup from Andy, but didn't consider junction boxes or mounts for fear it woul make the camera stand out more.

Can the cameras be direct mounted to a wall without the junction box or wallmount?

Does anyone know if a Dahua ePoE camera will work with a PoE NVR or does it need to have a ePoE NVR as well? If it does work, can I connect an ePoE camera to the NVR with normal Cat6, or do I actually need to get the adapters for the coax cable? The reason I am asking is Dahua only has a 4mm...
