Sorry for your issues RZR but before you give up, try a few more things. You will get button rings and two-way communication without cloud service when/if the unit is working properly. Have you tried locking an IP address to to the doorbell's MAC address on the Synology side? It is...
Update-
After deleting the AD110 from the Smart Home app, another hard reset and adding the AD110 back to the app, motion detection is again working. It appears to be only PIR detection and not video detection which "should" reduce false and nuisance alerts.
Maybe this update will solve...
After a little more checking, the reason I didn't have any false motion alerts is because it is not picking up any motion even though I have triple checked that motion detection is turned on and that the motion zones are on and set at 100%. Good grief!!!!
I'm hoping that reverting back to the older semi-circle detection zones means that the PIR detection is now functional. The grid overlay is normally used for video pixel based motion detection thus the need to actually see the camera image when selecting boxes in the grid. PIR based detection...
Well, strangely enough, I did a hard reset on the AD110 and now it is recording on my NVR normally. Not sure what the reset did but I suspect that there is some sort of security challenge in the firmware that limits the number of attempted incorrect logins. I base this on an error message I...
Thanks Jack! I'll give that a try and see what happens.
I think it will work with the main stream if I could just work out the username/password bug. But if I can get the RSTP stream working I'll be good with that.
I guess I should qualify my comment about it showing as ONVIF compatible. When my NVR searches my network, the AD110 shows up in the search results with the IP address, port 80 and that it is ONVIF compatible but it does not indicate to what extent.
Now the odd thing is, and since you...
You are correct! I pulled my manual out and was going to update my post but you beat me to it :-)
Yes, the menu structure for the settings is not very intuitive. H have had to search around for a couple settings that I had scratched my head about several times.
I am still having a problem...
I thought I read in the little manual that shipped with the AD110 that 64G was the max size card that it would recognize. However it is entirely likely that I am mistaken as I have slept since then, LOL
Hmmm…… I wonder if the pre event is being recorded at the NVR level or the AD110??? The LAView that I had, the first Gen with the square button, recorded the pre event onto the sdcard. I would thank that any of them would/could do that with the proper firmware instruction
Thank you for the info! It's a shame the DB11 doesn't have a pre-event buffer. If it did, I could live with the issue of rebooting when logging on to view at night.
Does this unit record a pre-event? My DB11 does not, or if it does I can't find a way to activate it. Most of my recordings are of people walking away from the door, not approaching it. I had a LAView doorbell cam that did have a pre-event but it was off-line so much I trashed it.
