    Well after all that what it boiled down too was I needed to reset the camera and then and only then did it show up in the config tool. Why it wasn't set to factory default settings is beyond me but I am up and running. Thanks to all who helped, I'm sure I will be back asking for your expertise...

    Thanks for the reply, so I've changed the ipv4 to what is displayed but then how does the computer see the camera if it's not connected to the internet?
