    Important! EmpireTech Official Website Active

I used Ali to buy from Andy over a 4 year period, can’t believe it changes regularly now? Wonder if it is Brexit or Pandemic issues that have caused so much hassle for the UK?

    Important! EmpireTech Official Website Active

Hi Andy, What is the best way to order from the UK now? I see others have asked and another member has suggested PM but it would probably just be worth posting here so others can reference in future.

portble battery powered 24h footage camera

I wouldn’t be concerned, check out the huge online following of this camera, plenty of guys in Arizona running these in a car windscreen continuously. Dashcamtalk forum had it as the most reliable cam to buy, not sure if it still does, don’t follow as much recently. USB fans are readily avalible...

portble battery powered 24h footage camera

Looney you may be correct but Mobius comes in three versions for viewing angle iirc. Looked it up.... “ Q. What are the widest FOV of the A, B & C lenses? A. Standard “A” Lens in 1080P wide = 85 deg./Wide Angle “B” Lens in 1080P wide = 116 deg./Wide Angle “C”/”C2” Lens in 1080P wide = 132...

portble battery powered 24h footage camera

This would be easy. Mobius dash cam with 26Ah Anker power pack and your golden. Mobius is tiny, low power consumption and very reliable. Biggest problem is storage space but low quality or time lapse if you can suffer it would be options.

    Sudden Spike in CPU Usage

Similar to my BI PC, no changes but seems to now be affected by the Intel driver issue. Go to drivers and see what version your on. Mine was fine for months, no update to the version but now affected :idk: Does the memory usage go up also?

cpu utilization of BI process rises up to 100%

Well as I think most of you know 4749 doesn’t work, or at least not in my case. It has however changed the problem. 4574 would max out RAM, 4749 takes RAM to around 80% but then causes CPU usage to max out afterwards. I need to get 4664 installed but that will have to wait for now.

cpu utilization of BI process rises up to 100%

Mine has just started crashing in a similar fashion every couple of days. I checked my driver when I saw this thread originally but all was fine on 21.20.16.4574 I have checked and this driver has not been updated but my PC is now affected. I cannot get 4664 linked to above to install but...

Hello from UK - looking for a few pointers

Ah this was the thread I was going to give an update on, I couldn’t find it last time. My cameras arrived shortly after I posted. No customs problems at all, up and running perfect. Infact I’m sure the ZE has a slightly better night view than my Z I already have running, hard to tell as...

Hello from UK - looking for a few pointers

Hi BigSpenda, good choice with the cams. I ordered my first (sept17 iirc) from Andy @ Empiretech by normal DHL, then I had a slower, non DHL delivery. Neither attracted any tax but I have heard DHL is getting more scrutiny now. I currently have another 2 starlights on route, I ordered a...

    How-To: Audio Inputs

You are right, I didn’t have that, video only. Typical, I looked over and over but obviously overlooked the video tab as I was only interested in audio settings  I can now enable the volume but still no sound output. Will have a play, hopefully something just as simple now. Thankyou

    How-To: Audio Inputs

Help please, I cannot get any audio from my setup. I have copied the OPs setup with my Hikvision DS-2CD2185FWD-IS albeit with the coax stripped to fit the Hik's terminal block. I have tried to enable audio in the Hik browser page but just get an error, I have tried all the formats but...

    Is my SSD dying?

I have my 'new' folder on primary SSD, I thought that’s the recommended way to do it? I was sure it said in BI to keep 'new' on primary drive.

    BI running on a new i9-7980XE (18 Cores, 36 Threads) = NICE!!!

No I realise that in some cases they are an improvement, ie where there is ample light and pixel density is important. High frame rates are nice to have but that’s a balance, I’m not sure how it works. If all other variables were equal would 1x30fps feed equal 2x15fps feeds in bandwidth and BI...
