FWIW, i am calling it a fix. Worked for me with no loss of data, no issues and current version of 4.396 shows.

Update today 4.396 is throwing the "updated 3 of 4 files, make sure program is not running" error message. Downloaded current x64 update from website and same error appears. Restarted BI and of course i get the update available message. NOTHING has changed with this setup. Any ideas, fixes...

Yep. And the only way for me to fix it was to ADD a new cam to WU. Mine took a dump last Friday. Nothing i did on the BI or WU side seemed to work. Hope you get better results.

Issue solved. Update downloaded from website--had to be installed from cold reboot. First time in all the years i have owned this program that had to be done. Thanks for help and listening to rant.

Version 4.2.90 update to paid version 4 with support ended at 12/31/15 will not update. Update fails after updating 2 of 3 files. Looks like paid support is the only way for me?
