Also tried TFTP to upgrade the firmware but it repeats 'Resend Required' a few times and then does nothing. Any way around this or is this consistent with a firmware upgrade block of some kind?
Thanks, any guides? If not, can I upgrade to a later Chinese version if I don't mind losing the English menus? I only need access to change the IP and turn UPnP off.
After having my cameras (2CD2332) hacked, I've upgraded all but one with the great help and guides on here. As this one was bought later, it's a newer model. 2CD2335-I with a CN serial number, English Menus and current firmware 5.3.3 / 150803.
What are my options to get this upgraded to a safer...
Thanks for the reply. Because they are not currently bricked, do I still need to change my IP? If so, should I also change the camera I want to start with to 192.0.0.64 before starting the process?
Sorry to ask a possibly dumb question but I'm trying to update currently operational 3x CN DS-2CD2332I that currently have English menus to 5.5.41. Is this possible?
Edit: Just realised that the firmware I'm on with these cams maybe safe already and no need to update? It's odd actually as none...
