PS I did consider putting the transformer in a cupboard next to the main electrical distribution box, but the bell circuit runs off the kitchen lighting circuit on a single feed, so not possible to remote the transformer.
It’s become apparent there’s no easy way to hide a transformer that meets requirements for Voltage and power in a standard wired chime bell box. As such I’ve completed my installation as below. Everything now working.
Here in the UK we usually have mains 220V AC feeding the transformer inside the chime box. I’m happy with all the necessary wiring. I just want to know if anyone has a recommendation for a transformer with enough beans to run the whole setup and still fit inside the existing chime box/casing...
I figured I need more amps/power, but is there a powerful enough small transformer unit that can fit inside the existing chime casing? It’s a bit of a minefield trying to find the perfect transformer, so I was hoping someone in the UK had already found one.
