    Remember that in tripwire you must cross the line to activate. Depending on the angle of the camera if there is not enough room to cross the line it may not activate. You can try intrusion with enter/exit and appear.

    I will agree with all of the above - however if equipment not supporting anything more then 100 Mb it will be unnecessary to do some of the recommendations. Simple rj45 connector will be sufficient, test cable for proper wiring with basic cat5 tester and as I mention before test with laptop...
