    Thanks fenderman. Now I feel a little better knowing that it's 16:9 vs 4:3 format. Amcrest should not advertise this camera as 2048x1536. I thought I was losing some resolutions. So what do you think which format (16:9 or 4:3) is better for a security camera?

    That is correct. I am more concerned about the resolution than the frame rate. The spec resolution is 2048x1536. Mine is 2304x1296. Is this a bug in the firmware?

I had contacted Amcrest support and they remote into my PC and seeing the same issue that I mentioned. They said they will research and get back, but so far I have not...

    I just bought some Amcrest IP3M-954E bullet camera. According to the spec, the resolution is 2048x1536 at 30fps. The max resolution of my camera is only 2304x1296 at 20fps. I upgraded my camera with the latest firmware and it still shows 2304x1296. Does anyone experience the same issue as mine?

    Found the problem. This issue occurs when BI is running as a service and the hardware acceleration is turn on. Thank you everyone for helping.

    It's the latest BI (Version: Release 4.4.9.4 x64). Yes, there is a drop down menu with Amcrest and that's what I selected. I tried using different model under the the Amcrest and none of them work.
