Viewing events with continuous recording enabled

I've just switched to using Blue Iris instead of trying to navigate around all of Hikvision's buggy junk. Blue Iris works great!

Viewing events with continuous recording enabled

I don't have an NVR, just 2 cameras. It appears the ability to view events with continuous recording on is missing from the cameras. Hard to believe they missed that obvious use case! I just set up blue iris which should give me more flexibility but I'll have to see how it goes avoiding false...

Hik-Connect push notifications from manually added Hik NVR ?

Do you have uPnP enabled? Are you forwarding your http port as well? Enabling pushes didn't work for me with just a normal port forward like 8055 (external) -> 8000 (internal). Only once I enabled uPnP and hikconnect (or connected locally via port 80) would iVMS-4500 allow me to turn on...

Viewing events with continuous recording enabled

I have 2x Hikvision DS-2CD2142FWD-I cameras. My goal with these is simple: have reliable notifications and review of people/objects on my front and back porches at home. Reliable to me means push notifications that can be accessed quickly on my phone and the ability to review events in the past...

Hik-Connect push notifications from manually added Hik NVR ?

Yeah I enabled them in iVMS-4500. Like I was saying I had to use the hack from the other thread because iVMS-4500 apparently has port 80 hard coded when enabling alarm notifications. Is there some step to turn them on in hikconnect? I have the cameras connected both via ddns and hikconnect...

Hik-Connect push notifications from manually added Hik NVR ?

I can't get any pushes from iVMS-4500 or hikconnect. Tried manual connection, hik-connect service, everything.... the alarms/messages tabs are always blank. I know the alarms exist because I can see them in the playback tabs of my cameras. They are set to notify surveillance station, on latest...

Cannot enable alarm notification on iVMS-4500 app (ios)

It looks like iVMS-4500 absolutely must be able to access a cameras on port 80 in order to turn on alarms or edit the camera configuration. There must be some way around this because it makes no sense. I could easily forward a WAN port to port 80 on my camera but I don't see a way to specify...
