The lottery is great fun. Especially if you win something! :p Highly recommended!
Which I did several times so I'm hesistating. In case I win something; I really don't need any more camera's and selling it feels wrong.
Managed to install the camera on Friday, just in time for Christmas.
I went from 1 5231 in October 2017 to now 4 camera's around the house.
Might have to get a bigger HDD for the NVR too, 4 camera's (including 3 4MP ones) takes a lot more storage than 1 2MP one.
Took the opportunity to reroute...
I received my IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 last Monday. Now I'm trying to install it, running network cable to it. This house (1979, concrete, bricks etc.) was not built for 2023-like ethernet everywhere:rolleyes:...
My winning streak with Andy is pushing me into these "problems" as well. :p
I just won an IPC-T54IR-ZE and last time also an IPC-T54IR-ZE. Before that a 4MP Lite camera and my own 'old' 5231ZE.
My NVR4116HS-4KS2 has a decoding capability of 8 channels @ 1080p (30fps)
That probably/maybe equals...
See my attached screenshot above. There was no 'animal detection' or anything like it before. All camera's would trigger just because something moved.
Newer camera's should still work like that if that checkbox in that screenshot is unchecked, but checking/unchecking that checkbox does nothing...
I'm not smart enough to know enough about this, but why haven't Dahua/Hikvision used AI-hardware in their NVR's?
I mean; I don't use Blue Iris but I believe you can use the Coral TPU with that to significantly reduce CPU load. The same with Frigate and also Camect. (and probably more...
One 5442ZE is running V2.840.15OG00D.0.R, Build Date: 2022-08-18. Yesterday I installed a new 5442ZE S3 version with V3.100.0000000.5.R, Build Date: 2023-05-09.
They are both installed next to the 5231R-ZE. But we haven't had animals last night so I can't comment on that.
Ah, here we have a...
