Thanks, that is strange because I do have devices before it in the 192.168.1.10x range, but this may be the issue... There isn't anything currently on 192.168.1.108, but I'll setup another network with only 2 devices to switch it over to DHCP then.

No I didn't make the network cable. Yes it is a 568A standard network cable.

Thanks, its a good suggestion but unfortunately it is not the case. I have my whole network mapped out, I am certain it is the only device on 192.168.1.108 - it is the IP that was given to it by the routers DHCP service.

I understand, I deal with new users on a daily basis :) But yes I am quite experienced despite only just signing up. The camera has a 12v DC jack input, the same as you'd find on older BNC based cameras.

My run? It is literally a 1m network cable into a switch, the network cable also works on everything else. The power supply is outputting just over 12v, it is 2 amp. The camera only needs 1amp. I also have access to multiple PSU's and changing them doesn't make a difference. I do not think it...

Thanks, but I am not using PoE at the moment.

Thanks, I have tried 2 x 12v 2amp power adapters and a few different network cables. I guess I'll try it on a different network at home, but unfortunately it seems it is most likely faulty :(

Bought an received one of these. However I can not get it stay connected to my network for more than a few seconds. If I constantly ping it I see it come up for about 4 seconds and then get timeouts again for about 30 seconds. Any suggestions?
