I am looking to upgrade my Amcrest rebranded Dahua SD49412 PTZ camera (12x zoom, 4MP) to 25x zoom 8MP 1/1.8" sensor.
I came across the SD6C3825GA-HNR-A-PV1 8MP 25 Starlight TiOC NETWORK PTZ CAMERA as an option but I can't find any reviews about it.
I would like to use it with Milestone Xprotect...
Is this still the latest firmware or is there a newer version in another thread? 2.800.0000018.0.R, Build Date: 2021-07-07 has been rock solid but if there's anything newer for my cameras I will try it.
In the zip archive DH_IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_NP_Stream3_V2.800.0000018.0.R.210707.zip, I found files DH_IPC-HEAT_MCU_V2.800.0000018.0.R.210707.bin and web-x.squashfs.bin in addition to the firmware file. What are we supposed to do with these additional bin files? This new firmware version...
@Eagle29 are you using the #18 firmware version introduced in this thread on an IP8M-T2499E? If so, I will have the confidence to retry upgrading from #15 to #18. Perhaps my camera will simply need a settings reset. All my previous Dahua firmware updates worked without resetting and...
Does this firmware version work on a IP4M 2499E camera, which was previously converted from Amcrest to Dahua? Thanks.
Edit: Against my better judgement I tried this firmware and live preview stopped working. Milestone xProtect no longer connects either. Rolling back to previous recommended...
Thanks BillG for this information. I took the plunge and updated my IP4M-1053E (49212) to this firmware and it appears to be working fine. All my settings carried over from 2.623. Is this still the latest now?

Will this work on DH-SD49212T? Mine is an Amcrest 1053E, crossflashed to Dahua, still at Dahua
Version 2.623.0000000.7.R.R4.1219.9A.NR

Sorry, I do not know. But there is a surefire way to find out the Dahua equivalent. These cameras pull a script file using TFTP upon boot. If you put "env" in it, you can see all the environment variables. One of these is HWID, which will answer your question.

@pov2: IP4M-1053E is Amcrest PTZ 4MP and I have mine crossflashed to Dahua SD49412T-HN. It was necessary as Amcrest fw did not want to stream H.265 to Milestone XProtect while Dahua FW had no problem doing this.
now I also did this to my 8MP Amcrests and I cannot believe how easily it took the...
I know zape tried, but has anyone successfully used this TFTP method to flash Dahua fw onto Amcrest IP8M-T2499EW? I succeeded on Amcrest IP4M, but don't feel like brivking my new IP8Ms.

Has anyone successfully crossflashed an Amcrest IP8M-T2499EW, which is a Dahua IPC-HDW4830EM, using the TFTP method and this firmware?

That is the thread. Worked for IP4M not sure about newer IP8M. In the restricted shell you can see the environment variable of the hardware type, which allows to ascertain the corresponding Dahua model of your Amcrest.
I had to first flash an unsigned 2.4xx Dahua firmware before upgrading to...
Amcrest lags behind Dahua on firmware updates. My IP4M-1053E had 2.422 whereas the equivalent Dahua has 2.623. I followed the unbricking thread to turn the Amcrest into a Dahua. @techhobbyist, I would not be surprised if flashing to the latest Dahua FW solved your motion detection problems.
PS: I was able to get it done via TFTP from the unbricking guide. Went from Amcrest firmware to a V2.4 (unsigned) Dahua firmware and then upgraded via Web UI to 2.623. And ... H.265 is now working in Milestone XProtect using this camera. The model number is still showing as an Amcrest model...
